About
Grassley Oakes is a dusty desert town, due east of anything that ever happens.
But when Raymond Winston Investigative Services gets called in on a missing person case, the town of Grassley Oakes, or GO as people call it, suddenly becomes a center of intrigue, of skullduggery, and of corruption, with just a touch of necromancy and the otherwise Weird.
PASSING GO is the story of a vanishing in two time periods and of the people who set about to figure it all out. Each chapter might seem like it was drawn randomly from a deck, but every new answer calls out for a new question, and the players advance around GO and beyond to learn their secrets.
This is Chris Farmer's first full-length novel and it mixes Raymond Chandler with Aleister Crowley around a Monopoly board.
